Canyonlands National Park, Utah

As we hiked along the trails, tiny Hopi Chipmunks would scurry by....

I was delighted to see Western Scrub Jays in this park, especially since we have a Florida Scrub Jay (declared threatened due to habitat loss).

Arches National Park, Utah

We are now in Moab, Utah. We have spent the last two days in Arches National Park, enjoying the sculptured rock scenery and hiking to the spectacular arches. Norm (the hare) has hiked a few more trails than I (the tortoise) have. Traveling through the park in the car, we are “blown away” by the towering spires, pinnacles and balanced red rocks perched atop seemingly inadequate bases. This may be our favorite National Park……
